Amply and Conduit Tech are both ACCA-approved Manual J apps. Both use the LiDAR scanner on an iPad Pro to scan a home and design a heat pump system. They differ in who owns them, what they cost, and whether they need an internet connection in the field.

Amply is independent and founder-owned. It runs without an internet connection. No more fighting with bad connectivity in the basement or on rural jobs. It costs $200/month month-to-month, or $180/month billed annually, with no contract required.

Conduit Tech is owned by ServiceTitan. It needs an internet connection and an annual contract. It costs about $265/month plus an $800 onboarding fee, and the price goes up 6–8% automatically every year.

Conduit Tech does a few things Amply doesn’t yet. It auto-generates 2D floor plans, lets you edit walls in a unified 3D editor, and offers more homeowner-facing reports. Amply is built for contractors who want accurate room-by-room loads and CFM reports from one site visit, with support from co-founders who are experts in building science and Manual J.
